It has recently come to my attention that one of my products on Zazzles (as well as other works belonging to other people) have been used without my permission on a product for sale on Amazon.com. I contacted the company but they didn't seem to concerned with my complaint as they are still selling my work on their products. I have contacted a few of the #artists, #Amazon & #Zazzle but I am not sure what they intend to do about it. I will keep you updated. Here is the link for VintageSh0p:
Some are probably wondering why this latest book is being released so late. Many know we had a fire last year and have moved back into the house. We lost some rabbits as well and settling back in hasn't been easy. I haven't been able to write for some time due to this. We are slowly working to get book 6 done and continue on with the series'. I appreciate your patience and continued support!
"Freckles the Bunny Series, Book # 7: Freckles and the Big Book of Manners" is on hold for a short spell. The book is a bit time consuming and with temporary writing issues, this isn't the best book to be working on at this time. So that I am not taking 6 months to write (I've been on this one for at least 6 now), I've decided to do a short story book in between. I'd wanted to do separate books on some of the other characters before. This gives me the perfect chance to write on just her friends and their issues.
The upcoming book is called, "Freckles' Short Stories, Volume 1." The first story in the book is about Boots' family. Many fans know that Boots' dad has been dating Purrsia. You also know that Purrsia has an adopted daughter named Potato, who is a hamster. The first story is about Purrsia and Mr. Cat's wedding. It goes through the experience and feelings of Boots and Potato who do not want them to get married. The first story is called, "A Cat Family Wedding" and is 14 pages long. This is just the first story in the book. I expect there to be at least 1 more.
I haven't had much time to work on his books. They take a great deal of time, work and research to do. I do plan on getting his second book out this year. Hopefully this spring! In the meantime, I will share some photos of Sherlock and his new buddy Salem tonight. Salem will probably be written in to the Cat family at a later date or perhaps as a new friend. Be sure to check out the photo albums to view the photos. I've added 5 photos in the Real Sherlock album and 1 in his friends album for you. This is on Sherlock's website.
Personal Sherlock update. Our Christmas tree spent a lot of it's time lop-sided and rolling along the wall because of all the wrestling the two kept doing. There are plenty of Sherlock stories to share with you so I will try doing that until the next Sherlock book is out.
For big fans, be sure to check out Freckles the Bunny Series, Book # 4: The True Meaning of Christmas and the upcoming book to see more of Sherlock and his family!
Hi! I know I was supposed to post pictures of the two foster cats that we took in for the holiday. Between last minute Christmas shopping and a death in the family, I just never got around to it. Here are the pictures of the two cuties available for adoption at the Humboldt & District SPCA.
One Freckles website update:
We have also removed Erika-Elizabeth's Blog page. She is getting older and would prefer to not have it on any longer to keep some of her privacy. You can still follow "Craft Time with Erika-Elizabeth."
I am in the works of writing a new children's book entitled, "Through the Eyes of a Bunny." It will be less cartoon like then the other stories as it is meant to be seen with understanding and reality. The book will follow a rabbit's life through being bought at a pet shop to ending up in a shelter, to it's final home. I am hoping to not only teach children and parents about rabbits so that they think before buying but also teach them about the right way to care for them. Sadly, rabbits are often a discarded pet. I hope the book will be out for the New Year however I will be working out some of the details once the book is complete. I hope to have some news to share with you before the year is out.
Freckles' book should be coming out within a month or two. We've had to span them out due to Anastasia's schedule and my family moving back into our home. We plan to try and keep the books roughly 4 months apart as before. It will all depend on how long some of these are.
I am still planning on having a second book out early this year (at least I plan to try). It will definitely be out before the end of this year. Please keep checking his blog or Facebook page for updates.
A late Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all those who celebrate!
School & Library Readings
These are the areas we will be visiting. Please note a few more locations have been added. These visits are free as are our Skype visits. If however you are outside of these locations, a small fee to cover expenses can be arranged to visit your location.
There is a new page on the website, "Story Reading and Fundraising." These files, locations and more can be found on that page. I am still working on the fundraising and other stuff but it will be available there as well. Event Readings has partially been added as well.
It's that time of year again. School is starting and so much more! Sorry I haven't blogged updates here in a bit but we've been rushing to get back into our house. Some things have been moving far faster then we planned. We are hoping for everything to slow down after next month and for us all to be settled in. In the meantime, here are some updates now & some to expect over the next month or so for all 3 websites: Now:
I have finally managed to fix those pictures on Freckles' website.
2. School Visits in Your Area
I've already posted which areas we will be looking at visiting. The school proposals will explain more but it is free even if we have visited your school before. Feel free to contact us for more information. The areas include:
3. Erika-Elizabeth's Blog
As many know, Erika-Elizabeth is my daughter. She does the crafts for the books & video records them for children to do with her. She also does book reviews for me in her spare time (book reviews are on hold until we can get her computer down here). She has finally posted a second post and will continue to do so as the week progresses. Erika-Elizabeth has also co-authored Freckles' book # 6. Find her blog on Freckles' website & her review's on mine.
4. E-Book Sales
We currently have most books down for sale at $2.99 USD. Check them out on Barnes & Noble or Apple/Itunes.
5. Book Reviews
We have some new book reviews up for each series. Be sure to check out Sherlock's 1st book's review as well as Freckles' 4th & 5th books. You can find the reviews from here:

A pre-order special for Freckles the Bunny Series, Book # 6: The Freckle Monster, is being put together as we speak. This is the bullying book I have been talking about. The release date has yet to be decided but it will be out before Christmas.

This is just some of what is to come!
I am very pleased to be able to say this. As of today, I am officially a Saskatchewan Writers' Guild member. I am listed on their website so be sure to check it out! Just one of the exciting bits of news I had promised.
We are still taking in suggestions for the manners book as well! I am slowly writing this and Sherlock's book.
Website changes - The "About Us" area for Vickianne has been switched as well to match that of the Writers' Guild's website.
#FrecklestheBunnySeries, Book # 5 have been ordered and will arrive here next week sometime. They still haven't fixed Bk # 4's cover on Amazon.com yet. I will contact them again come Wednesday. #Book # 6 is underway. It is entitled, "The Freckle Monster" and is a book on #bullying. Also, we are now #donating $1/book from all Createspace link sales to Majestic Waterfowl Sanctuary. Click on their name to check out their page. #child #picturebook #illustration
We now have a reviews area for the books. Please help and rate the series. 1 star is poor and 5 stars is excellent. You can also post comments below about why you rated it as you did. Thank you!
The comments are public. I would like to use them on the website with first name and last initial only along with your review. Thank you!
This will probably be the last posting for the weekend! If you are in Regina, Saskatchewan this weekend then be sure to stop by the Saskatchewan Writers Guild's table. I will be there on Sunday from 1 - 4PM. The animals will not be present but I will have their books. I will also be taking orders. Hope to see you there!
Lastly, just an update on the e-books. I am still working on formatting the other books so that they are available as well. In the meantime, book # 1 of Sherlock and Freckles is available and listed at the following places:
1. Barnes and Noble
3. Apple (Buy through Itunes)
5. Versent Books
6. Flipkart (so far only one is listed)
Other locations are still coming! A new page has been added and I have been updating them daily as I find my books in their search engines. There are a few that don't share their book listings, in which case I have listed them. If you see these and are a member but the books are not there, be patient as they are on their way.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Very excited to announce that I will be at Regina Fan Expo on Sunday, May 4th, 2014 from 1 - 4PM. You can find me at the Saskatchewan Writers Guild's booth! Follow the link below for details on the main event, location, cost and hours.
I was not expecting to attend and have been spending much needed time on catching up on work so I have limited books. I will be taking pre-orders though and selling what I do have. Come early!
Unfortunately, neither Freckles nor Sherlock will be able to attend. I hope to see you there and a very big thank you to the Saskatchewan Writers Guild for having us!
We are very excited this year! New and exciting things have been happening here! Why?
1. We are constantly improving the books, new topics and learning so much along the way!
2. This year, we will be helping some rescue groups by placing their adoptable pets in our stories as background characters. - Freckles books.
3. We have a new series out which is getting a lot of attention. Be sure to check out Sherlock the Remarkable Cat Series' website and Facebook fan page.
4. We are on a roll for winning awards for reviews (every book has earned a 5 star!) and now we have the opportunity to win "2014 Best Book Cover Contest."
This is just a small portion of what is going on! In the meantime, we need you to vote! You can vote daily or every 2 days (the system is a bit picky). The link is below and we have the following books entered:
1. Freckles the Bunny Series, Book # 4: Freckles and the True Meaning of Christmas
2. Freckles the Bunny Series, Book # 5: Freckles and the Cost of Popularity
3. Sherlock the Remarkable Cat Series, Book # 1: Sherlock, the Cat Who Couldn't Meow
You can vote for all 3 books and here is how:
1. Follow the link and find the books.
2. It is the star rating system, 1 star being poor and 5 stars being awesome!
3. Click on the star to rate it and you can vote for other books too, not just one.
